Membership

At Westminster we believe that joining a church is one of the most important decisions you will make, and that it is an extraordinary decision in our culture of "non-joiners". If you are a committed follower of Christ, view Westminster as your church family, we would love to talk to you about becoming a member of this church.

The process for joining Westminster is simple:

(1) Participate in the Discovery Class

This is a 2 part seminar offered on a Friday evening and Saturday morning. It is designed to help you discover more about Westminster – who we are and what we believe, and for us to better get to know you. The Discovery Class is offered several times throughout the year and is lead by Pastor Carter

(2) Read through and sign the Membership Commitment

You will receive a hard copy of the Membership Commitment at the Discovery Class, or you may CLICK HERE to download and print one out.

(3) Complete a membership interview with the church elders

The interview generally lasts about 20 minutes. During the interview, you will get to ask questions about the church and you will share with the elders how Jesus is at work in your life and how you hope to involve yourself in the life of the church. It is often an extremely encouraging time for both the elders and perspective member.

(4) Take membership vows on a Sunday morning

After your interview you'll stand up in front of the congregations with others joining the church at one of our Sunday worship services, and affirm the membership covenant you learned about in the Discovery Class and took in your membership interview.

*Note: Baptism is also required for church membership. If you have not yet been previously baptized, we'd be pleased to baptize you during one of our worship services.
