Westminster is Making Room! We launched a special initiative in June, 2024, to address the physical needs of our growing congregation. We are in process and are looking toward exciting changes to our campus in 2025. Watch this short update video for the latest news, then scroll through this page for more information regarding the need, our approach to the funding, and the ways God is growing us spiritually through this process.
“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” - Romans 15:7

Over the past 33 years, we have been the recipients of God’s bountiful and marvelous grace at Westminster. He has provided for us over and over. In this Making Room initiative, we are praying that God will grow our hearts and lives as we embrace our guests, neighbors, and newcomers, and we are trusting that He will provide abundantly for us to expand our church building to meet the needs of our growing congregation.
PRIMARY GOAL: Making Room is a discipleship initiative, and we want everyone who calls Westminster home to become involved. We are dedicating June 2024 to focused prayer and spiritual growth, facilitated by a 20-day Study in Stewardship devotional and a special series of sermons.
SECONDARY GOAL: Making Room in our facilities means expanding our sanctuary, adding a wing for six classrooms, and perhaps building a welcoming outdoor pavilion to continue our existing ministries and embrace future opportunities. These improvements will require $1.7 million over the next two years: $800,000 for two years of our annual budget and approximately $900,000 for the expansion projects.
ABOUT THE NEED: Our worship space is at over 80% capacity every week, and every available space is being used for our ministries, including the church office, the kitchen, and the copier room.
ABOUT THE PROPOSED EXPANSION: The proposed expansion will add more than 50 seats to our sanctuary, and a new classroom wing will house six larger classrooms (a net gain of two new classrooms).
FAQs: The Making Room Guide contains a large section of Frequently Asked Questions that explain the need and WPC’s fundraising approach. Download the guide below, or pick up a copy in the narthex at church.
This is not the first time WPC has needed to Make Room. The story of Westminster is a story of God’s faithfulness. He has provided for our needs and taught us to welcome others in every step of our journey.
The Making Room initiative is an opportunity for each of us. Our WPC pastors and elders are praying that everyone will participate, including children, teens, adults, those who have been with us for decades, and those who are new to our church community.
NEXT STEPS:
Pray intentionally and expectantly.
Engage in a 20-day Study in Stewardship. Download the Study Booklet below.
Give generously and with joy. Join the initiative by filling out the digital Commitment Card, below.
Celebrate what God has done in the past, what He is doing now, and how He will provide in the future as we seek His kingdom purposes for our church family.
HOW CAN I GIVE? An easy way to give is to enroll in scheduled giving by clicking on the “Giving” tab on this website. Gifts by cash or check can also be placed in the offering plates as they are passed each week during our worship services. Westminster is using a One Fund approach to the Making Room initiative. This means that all funds will be used together for our annual budget and the Making Room building expansion rather than being designated for specific projects. See the FAQs in the Making Room Guide, or watch the “Secondary Goal” video for more on this method.
